Do you have a studio? No, but don't let that stop you from scheduling your photos during the colder months! We can use one of my favorite indoor spots in Des Moines.
Do you have any pets in your home? YES, I have three cats and even though they can be locked upstairs during your session when we're in my studio they do have the run of the house including my studio area during the days so if the presence of a cat bothers you we should consider another location!
What happens to the files/images after I get my CD (IF I ordered one)? The files will be deleted from my computer in 30 days from the date I give you your password to view your gallery?
So I don't get a CD anymore? How do I get the images so I can print them? You will be able to view your images on a password protected website within 2 weeks of your session and then you will have the option to download them and upload to the site of your choice for printing or order them directly from my website/my photo lab!!
But I really liked getting a CD in the mail how does the downloading work and can I still get a CD if I want one? No I am sorry, I do not have the option to even burn a CD anymore with my new computer I have. It doesn't even have a CD/DVD drive.
How do I schedule a newborn session when I don’t know when my baby will be born? A newborn session should be scheduled around the 37th week of pregnancy. I will keep my schedule flexible for the due date time period in order to capture your baby in the first 10 days of life (these sessions are done during the week as my weekends are already booked). That is the best time to capture those sweet sleeping poses and to have a cooperating baby. Since I no longer have a studio, I'll come on location for your newborn shoot. It will be more of a lifestyle session.
How long does it take to see my pictures? A few days after your photo session I will post a sneak peak of one image to my Facebook page. Normally, within approximately two weeks you’ll be able to view your entire gallery online with the option to download. During the busier months of September, October and November it could take 3 weeks to get you your images.
How many pictures do you put in the gallery? After much consideration, trial and error, and feedback from previous clients. The consensus is that clients would much rather prefer to have 20-40 pictures that are the best versus 80-100 images where some are great and some so-so images. I still take anywhere from 100-170 images during your session but your gallery won't have anywhere near that many on there. This does not apply to senior or wedding images. For those options there will be a lot more to choose from!
