My biggest suggestion is to coordinate, not necessarily match. Although I think the all white or all black shirts look nice it is almost better to layer colors to help coordinate. Avoid graphic shirts or shirts with lots of words on them. Pick 2 to 3 colors you want to use keeping in mind the room in your home you want to display your portrait. Moms and women in general are sometimes the biggest critiques and that’s ok! Wear a shirt you feel comfortable in and plan the family clothing options around it. I understand that if mom doesn’t look good she won’t love the pictures, and I want you to LOVE them! I am a huge advocate of moms being in pictures because they are often the ones behind the camera and you want your family to remember you were there too!
